Aaron Gordon vowed to Russell Westbrook to get his NBA ring, and he takes it personally

Aaron Gordon is Mr. Clutch of the Denver Nuggets in the 2025 NBA Playoffs.

The Denver Nuggets are a team that refuses to be beaten. After firing manager Michael Malone in three regular season games, no one took seriously as a candidate.

So far, no one has written down the nuggets after unprecedented attitudes were exhibited in the NBA playoffs. No one has defined this more than Aaron Gordon.

Aaron Gordon is the Denver Nuggets hero who defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder and sunk a dramatic second half three-pointer.

This stole the game on the LA Clippers’ path in their closely contested series after his dramatic buzzer beater dunk.

Gordon’s important influence is not limited to major moments. In his victory at Thunder, he was one of the highest rated players, earning 22 points overall and 14 rebounds.

Aaron Gordon’s big-time performance shows how he takes the Denver Nuggets’ quest to earn a serious NBA championship.

And he has a personal motivation expressed before the season when his team signed free agent Russell Westbrook.

Gordon said:

“I’m doing everything I can to try and get him a ring. I’m stuck with my role, and at the end of the day, that’s what inspires me.”

Russell Westbrook is a former MVP who has achieved personal success in his previous run with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

However, after reaching the final against the team in 2012, Westbrook was unable to win the NBA title. This is a feat achieved by the Denver Nuggets in 2023.

Gordon’s selflessness is one of the reasons why he is so admired by Denver Nuggets fans and his teammates, and he has a performance that backs up his big story.

If Denver wins it this year, Gordon would deserve it — he would argue that Russell Westbrook deserves it.
