Draymond Green pays homage to one of the Golden State Warriors stars the team needs in upcoming matches.
The Golden State Warriors stole a march with their playoff opponents against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Unfortunately for the Warriors, their victory was at the expense of Stephen Curry, who maintains a hamstring injury.
Curry didn’t play in the second half, but his team was still able to narrow down a 99-88 victory.
Head coach Steve Kerr has already named Pat Spencer an alternative to Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry.
Spencer played 11 minutes, scored four points and grabbed two rebounds.
He has the trust of his teammate Draymond Green. Draymond Green said that after the game, Spencer was doing some things against him.
Green explained via Anthony Slater:
“I know it doesn’t look like that… No. 61 doesn’t help… But Pat is one of the toughest players on this team.”
Pat Spencer was an elite cross player before switching to pursue his basketball dreams when he began his German career.
After landing spots in the G League along with the Washington Wizards development team, he latched to the Santa Cruz Warriors in 2022.
Spencer made his NBA debut in 2023-24, playing six games and 39 games this season.
And now he’s playing in the NBA playoffs for the first time, and after Curry’s injury, he has an unlikely spotlight.
Now in his third year with the Warriors System, he has gained the organization’s trust, and Draymond Green’s comments also show a level of respect.
