Warriors head coach Steve Kerr already has a player in mind who will replace Stephen Curry as the point guard maintains a hamstring injury that kept him away from Game 2.
The Golden State Warriors won a big game one victory against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The odds were stacked against them, but the warriors pulled it apart.
Stephen Curry left the game felt like a death blow to the Warriors. Many fans lamented Curry’s injuries as the Timberwolves’ favor decision maker.
But as Shaquille O’Neal told him to be a warrior in Curry’s absence, they stepped up to win. In particular, Buddy Heald has earned praise from Kendrick Perkins, among many others.
But what stats will Stephen Curry head towards important game 2? According to Steve Kerr, the prognosis is not good.

Steve Kerr spoke to the media after the Warriors stole Game 1. Speaking about Stephen Curry, Kerr admitted that the point guard was injured.
He also admitted that Curry is reportedly moving forward every day, but that he hopes to miss his next game with the Timberwolves.
“Just day by day, he’ll get an MRI tomorrow. I spoke to him at halftime, and he’s clearly been crushed.
“Obviously, we’re all worried about Steph, but that’s part of the game. The guy gets injured and moves on. Our guys win 48 hours after we won at Game 7 Road.”
“It’s a group of amazing people. These guys, they compete, they’re together. They’ve been the best defense in the league since Jimmy’s trade. That’s what’s floating us now.”
Regarding Curry’s status in Game 2, Kerr said, “We’re planning a game to make him unavailable on Thursday. But we don’t know yet. With hamstrings, it’s hard to imagine him playing Thursday.”

Steve Kerr named the recent standout Pat Spencer when he was talking about which players would go to to play in place of Curry.
“We saw Pat get out of the bench and play big minutes when he wasn’t in the rotation. That was important.”
“We saw Pat, he’s a gamer. We know that. Those few minutes were big. If Steph doesn’t go, Pat would definitely get more time on Thursday.”
Spencer has won praise from several members of the Warriors organization for his performance in the playoffs so far.
Given the productions Stephen Curry has been offering in the playoffs so far, the Warriors will need to step up in equal parts to make up for his absence.
He scored 22.6 points per game, earning 40% of his shots from behind the three-point line.
Of course, celebrities like Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green must lead the pack. But the rest of the warriors must provide in an equal part.
