The transfer window for the summer of 2025 is not far from here. Clubs like Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea are sure they already have plans.
Big names like Killian Mbappe, Dani Ormo, Pedro Neto and Renee Yoro moved last summer, but some sagas, including big names like Victor Osimhen, who made a surprise move with financing to Galatasaray, remained unresolved.
Things can get even busier this summer, so read all you need to know about the summer 2025 transfer window.
When will the transfer window begin and end for the summer of 2025?
This year, the Club World Cup will actually occur in two stages of summer transfer windows.
The Premier League confirmed from its official website that there were short windows early in June and then it would last longer.
Their statement read: “The Premier League clubs today agreed to the date for the summer 2025 transfer period.
“Due to exceptional registration periods related to the FIFA Club World Cup, the windows will open early between Sunday, June 1st and Tuesday, June 10th.
“It will then resume on Monday, June 16th and end on Monday, September 1st.”
This is an interesting change and could mean an exciting start to the summer, with the clubs having limited time to close the deal.
This could be particularly important for big names like Chelsea and Real Madrid. They competed in the competition, the latter is known to be keen to acquire Trent Alexander Arnold by then.
What are the deadlines for summer transfer windows for other leagues?
The deadline for summer transfer windows isn’t exactly the same everywhere, but there aren’t many when it comes to major European leagues.
It will be September 1st in the UK and Germany, but the Spanish La Liga will be August 31st and the Spanish La Liga will be August 30th in France and Italy.
Players who come and go to Türkiye are often important, but the transfer period has been open quite long and will be closed on September 13th.
The Saudi Pro League is also open for more than a day from Europe, so there will be a little more time to do business with Saudi clubs until September 2nd.
Meanwhile, MLS clubs have not been in the way of doing business with major clubs around Europe for a long time as their windows close on August 21st.
Who will be the main players to travel during the summer of 2025 transfer?
As already mentioned, Alexander Arnold is approaching becoming a free agent and has recently been spoken publicly to confirm that he is leaving Liverpool.
Other well-known free agents include Kevin De Bruyne, Jonathan Tah, Leroy Sane, Jonathan David, Thomas Partey and Angel Gomes.
Meanwhile, there are certainly major sagas to solve, such as players returning from loan spells like Osimhen, as well as Manchester United duo Marcus Rashford and Antony.
Some of the other most talked about names include Viktor Gyoker, Benjamin Sesko, Nico Williams, Morgan Rogers, Liam Delap, Dean Huijsen, and Jamie Gittens.
