Aston Villa opens to sell Jacob Ramsey amid concerns PSR
One of the best candidates to be sold in this situation is Tottenham’s long-term target, Jacob Ramsey. As the 23-year-old is an academy alumnus, his sales represent the pure profits of Aston Villa. And as a result, as Mick Brown told Soccer Insider, they are accepting sales in the summer.
“Jacob Ramsey is what I hear that I can leave the villa. It’s a bit like the situation at Man United’s Cobby Mine, where it’s sold to sell the issue to raise money for financial issues.
“I don’t think the manager knows that Ramsey is right in his plan. He plays midfield and wide outside without establishing himself everywhere. There’s a player ahead of him in both positions, so if there’s a big offer, I think they’ll sell.
“From his perspective, he would also like to play regular first team football at this stage of his career and I don’t think he’ll get it at Villa. So it could be a valid deal for all involved, and offering a fee is the right thing to do and I’m sure he’s not interested because he’s a talented player.”
