Anthony Edwards’ teammates were not surprised he was able to return to Game 2.
“Superman, true.”
“One thing about Ali, he’s not going to go outside. He has to make sure he’s not dead.”
“I’ve seen it before, he has to cut off his leg or do some shit.”

Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch admitted he doesn’t expect Anthony Edwards to return after Game 2. He was down for quite some time after suffering an ankle injury. Edwards needed assistance from the court and did not return in the second quarter. On the TNT halftime broadcast, they showed Anthony Edwards was warming up in the second half. The 23-year-old played the second half of Game 2.
He scored 13 of 20 points in the third and fourth quarters to help Minnesota secure a victory. The series is tied to Golden State towards 1-1 for Game 3. After Minnesota’s Game 2 victory, Jayden McDaniels and Nikkill Alexander Walker were not surprised that Edwards was back. They told the media that Edwards had done this before. He suffers an injury that appears to have missed a fair amount of time and then returns in the same game.
McDaniels was called Anthony Edwards and was “Superman, for the Truth.” Alexander Walker said Edwards must be “dead and approaching” to not play. That was true in Game 2. Edwards quickly shook off his ankle injury and was ready to go in the second half. There should be no questions regarding the availability of Edwards Game 3. Even if he suffers an ankle injury, Edwards will play through it.
