Draymond Green won another technical foul in the Warriors’ Game 2 loss against the Minnesota Timber Wolves. Steve Kerr warned him about what would happen if he didn’t stop.

The Golden State Warriors lost Game 2 against the Minnesota Timber Wolves on Thursday at a scoreline of 117-93. The team struggled offensively in Stephen Curry’s absence.

Curry was injured in Game 1, with Grade 1 hamstring tension dominated him for almost a week. Anthony Edwards was battling the illness himself, but Minnesota helped him claim victory.

In Steph’s absence, the Warriors star was unable to reach the 20-point threshold. Jonathan Cuminga led the team with 18 points, while Jimmy Butler had 17 points.

Draymond Green managed just nine points in the evening, but he managed to pick up another technical foul. This took him to dangerous territory, and head coach Steve Kerr pointed out equally.

Draymond picked up a technical foul on a deadball after contacting Naz Reed’s face after the foul. This is his fifth playoffs. Two more, Green picks up one game of suspension.

Carr was asked at a press conference what this means for Greene and his team. And he had words of attention to his defensive stubborn.

“We could see him being pretty upset and he didn’t want to get another skill, so we took him out at that point,” Kerr told reporters. “He’s going to have to be careful now.

“He’s going to have to continue with the composition. Obviously we need him. He knows the situation so I’m sure he’ll do that.

“It’s part of Draymond, making him a very good competitor, and the winners sometimes put him on the top.

“We know that, and it’s our job to help him stay calm, but sometimes he crosses the line because competition means so much to him.”

Magic Johnson may think that the other stars are more important than Draymond, but his skill set is not too unique.

Green is the defensive anchor for Golden State. Many of the attacks flow through him, even if they don’t reflect in the box score.

The Warriors will need to play at least two games without Steph. It could end the team’s season if Green picks up those skills and Curry can’t return to the decisive game five.

Whatever the scenario, losing an emotional leader is not something the Warriors can afford. Golden State fans hope it doesn’t come to it.
