The club feels that Sports Lisbon goal machine Viktor Gyoker wants to choose Manchester United in the transfer window this summer.

Swedish International has been on fire recently, scoring an astounding 62 goals in his final 54 matches in all club and country competitions.

Also, Gyoker has hit seven hat tricks in between, proving he is an elite finisher that cannot be ignored.

There may be some reservations about the fact that he does this in the Portuguese League and that his only previous experience playing for the UK was the championship against Coventry City.

Still, Arsenal is serious about the 26-year-old’s signature, and according to Talksport, Man Utd seems increasingly confident in doing so despite being enthusiastic.

Is Viktor Gyoker a real deal?

Ultimately, until he sees him over the long term in the Premier League, there’s no way to know for sure how good Gyoker is.

Some players have moved from less competitive leagues and continued to shine at a higher level, but others have struggled.

Darwin Nunez was prolific for Benfica, but flops at Liverpool, but early in his career, Luis Suarez was great for Ajax, and he made his strength stronger from the power of the spells of Liverpool and Barcelona.

Meanwhile, Reuben Diaz has moved from Benfica to become a Manchester City star, while Jois Neves has looked stunning since moving from Benfica to Paris Saint-Germain.

Both Arsenal and United seem confident that Gyoker can take this incredible form into the Premier League with him.

Arsenal needs a new striker after missing a chance

The new strikers must be a priority for Arsenal after a season when they saw them missed the trophy again.

Gunners didn’t challenge the Premier League title. It’s the same as some people were hoping for, but they did a decent run in the Champions League, but were eventually knocked out of the semi-finals.

Arsenal saw them miss many good opportunities with their feet tied to PSG. Perhaps someone like Gyoker can help them next season.
