Barcelona had particularly many joys since signing Leeds United’s Rafinha, but now it appears they can launch another raid on Elland Road.
The Catalan giant reportedly could be one option for Leeds’ fullback junior Furpo, as Leeds is squeezing options this summer.
The 28-year-old future has been questioning this summer, and it appears he’s talking to several different clubs.
According to journalist Graeme Bailey, he spoke to Leeds United News about the situation in Fapo and said he is leaning heavily towards moving to La Liga.
Discussing what will happen next in Firpo in Leeds, Bailey revealed that his future appears to be apart from the Yorkshire giants.
Barca and Real Betis could be international options for the Dominican Republic, Bailey said:
“It looks like there’s a preference. I know he’s been more interested in the last few weeks. Given his performance, this isn’t a surprise. I was interested in Everton, Angus Kinnear and Nick Hammond.
“It depends on FIRPO. I’m told he’s inching towards Spain. Barcelona even saw him as No. 2, Betis is there too.
“It sounds like he’s back to Spain. His people have spoken a lot.”
He plays in Leeds, preparing for his life in the Premier League.
Leeds are preparing for life in the Premier League next season, so they can really do it without losing key players like Firpo.
White people will definitely know that all three promoted clubs have returned straight this season, and there is a risk that the same could happen on Daniel Fark’s side.
Firpo is probably a bigger move towards Barcelona than a relegation scrap using the LUFC, but the club needs to keep this team together and strengthen it as much as possible.
