2025 French Moto3 – Race Results

8 Min Read

The Moto3 class was first in Round 6 wet Le Mans track, France’s Grand Prix. It all changed on the final lap as Jose Antonio Ruda used the previous fight to pick up successive victories.

The race was declared dry and lit by the build-up. The rain is about to clean the day, but wet patches sail around the museum.

The winner of the Geres Race, Ruda, was only eighth in the second quarter, so there was something to do in the race. Failing to replicate his advantage in front of the race, Red Bull KTM’s Ajo Rider showed a different skill set and quickly rose through the puck into the lead quartet.

First good fortune came when his nearest title rival Angel Piquelas slipped down after the mistake.

The race was led from race one to Joel Kelso’s final corner, with David Munoz behind him waiting for the raid – Ruda was wisely placed towards the final corner, which was the final rap drama scene.

Munoz attacked, climbing up the inside gap, sending both himself and Kelso wide – leaving the door open for Ruda.

The Spaniard used his luck to cross the line first with the fourth victory of the season at KTM.

Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP Rider Munoz recovered quickly from the incident and finished second, but demoted the place of action due to the direction of the race.

Kelso proved his one-lap pace and set up a new lap record over the weekend. In race trim, the level-up MTA rider was able to use his speed advantage to go ahead from lap 1, but his defensive line ended up winding him up and attacking. With both Australia and Munoz sought their first victory, the final lap clash felt almost inevitable, and Kelso was promoted back to Ruda’s second 0.636s.

Ruda’s rookie teammate Alvaro Calpe secured a big comeback finish. He also qualified on the 13th, but he led the group that had gone through the puck and chased, pulling away and defeating them fourth.

David Armanza also advanced from the ninth of the grid, fighting fellow comeback rider Tiyofuru Sato to fifth in the race as the top leopard and Honda rider.

Full Cert started 11th and was on his way to Honda Team Asia’s sixth, moving up and down for his start-to-last position.

On pole for the first time on his second outing, rookie Maxim Quills led the opening corner before Kelso took over, finishing in seventh place for Cfmoto Gaviota Aspar.

Leopard Rider Adrian Fernandez was next to the line just before the ninth Luca Lunetta of the SIC58 Squadra Corse, behind the eighth.

Valentin Perrone, along with Jacob Roulstone, got an interest in housework in the Moto3 race, with a top 10 sufficient.

Dennis Fodgier was outside the point at the start of the race before the rally. With help from Asper’s 11th Falls, he went ahead to Scott Ogden to push the CIP Green Power Rider back to the 12th with a late pass.

The remaining points arrived at Roulstone in 13th place for Tech3, Cormac Buchanan in 14th place for Boe and Nicola Carraro in 15th place for Rivacold Snipers.

Vincente Perez missed the point on the 16th after missing a long lap penalty in a short cut race.

Having already endured a tough weekend, Ricardo Rossi also had a long lap penalty that helped him ride slowly in front of the equally unfortunate Eddie O’Shea.

Rossi dropped to 22nd place and finished in 18th place.

Crash, injury, replacement

Guido Pini was impressed by the qualifying round and secured second on the grid. The Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP Rider was in the lead pack when he slipped out of the contest at Garage Vert and rejoined on the 17th.

Yamanaka was the first rider to fall on turn 6 on lap 2.

O’Shea forgot the weekend and crashed on the condition before the red flag actually came out for cleaning, and the Mlav rider was slowed down by Rossi, fell on his lap in qualifying, leaving him last on the grid on the 26th. He fell into the race again, and Adrian’s cross also crashed from the competition.

Piqueras is the only other waterfall, with Stefano Nepa retiring to the pits.

There were several replacement riders in the Le Mans race. Jakob Rosenthaler (21st) raced for Denssi Racing – Boein broke his wrist at Jerez in an injured Ruche Moodley.

Championship rankings

Rueda arrived with a four-point lead over Piquera and after the victory, it expanded to a 116-29-point gap, with Piquera’s DNF in second overall.

Kelso sits third with 77, while Carpe is the top rookie in fifth place with 56 points.
