Valentina Shevchenko may have a new and reliable threat in the women’s flyweight division.

Shevchenko is a 125-pound UFC title holder and she successfully defended last Saturday. “Bullet” thwarted the Manon Fiorott’s challenge in the co-main event of UFC 315 in Montreal. Shevchenko has decided a unanimous decision victory to keep the money up.
Early in the evening, Silva defeated Alexa Grasso by unanimous decision. With the victory, she placed herself in prime position to get the opportunity for the flyweight title. The question is, will Shevchenko meet Chang Weli in a super fight?

Silva wants Shevchenko to know her name
Following the UFC 315 victory over Alexa Grasso, Natalia Silva said she believes she belongs to the number one competitor in the UFC Women’s Flyweight Championship (H/T MMAFighting).
“My focus is on the title,” Silva said after the war before Shevchenko defeated Fiorot in Montreal. “I came here and became a champion. My eyes are in the title. I have a story for one of two. Valentina once said she didn’t know me.
Silva also shared her belief that UFC officials are aware of her championship potential. She wants to reach out to as many people as possible so she can tell her story.
“I think fans can ask for that because it’s a battle that makes sense to me,” Silva said. “It’s the fight I want. Every time the UFC offers me the name “Let’s go, I’m ready.” The UFC says I’ve been here to come since I came to the Champion.
