Jack Della Madarena has won the biggest victory of her MMA career, beating Beral Muhammad in the UFC 315 headliner to become the new welterweight world champion.
JDM seemed to be walking Muhammad and landing some solid strikes and quickly finding his range. JDM escaped relatively easily, simply filming one takedown in the round, rather than stepping into his own footing “Remember the name.”
In the second stanza things were pretty competitive and Muhammad couldn’t fight Matt again. Still, while Muhammad is hanging at his feet with JDM, it appears that JDM is landing a more important strike in the first 10 minutes of the contest.
Muhammad had the best impressive round in his third, arrears the Australian in five minutes, but like in the previous round, JDM appeared to be connecting with a higher clip on a higher damage shot. Muhammad attempted another slow round takedown, but JDM flipped the script and nearly defeated the champion before the horn.
“Remember the Name” continued to get the pace fourth and close the distance, all the names, all through his path, all the JDMs. Despite his best efforts, Muhammad was unable to bring his challenger to the mat, but Muhammad still covered the JDM with a stats sheet.
The fifth round was overwhelmingly the most exciting, and Muhammad was very close to trying to maintain his title. With the JDM stuck to the fence, Muhammad ate a nasty knee from the challenger with his cheeks open. Muhammad continued to move forward, taking JDM to the mat and landing the ground and pounds, but eventually JDM returned.
JDM ran out of time and inspiring his right hand to injure Muhammad. JDM unleashes a gust of wind, but he fails to clean up the infamous tough Muhammad before the final horn.
