FLOWTOWN, Pa. — A few days before the second major of the season, Sahis Tegala withdrew from the truist championship on Sunday, citing a neck injury.

Theegala opened in rounds of 69 and 71 with a $20 million unsigned event before falling to its final spot on the field in 8-over-78 on Saturday. After an opening birdie in the third round, Tegala made four bogeys, double bogeys and triple bogeys at the Wisahi concourse at the Philadelphia Cricket Club.

The 27-year-old Tegala ranked 31st in the world, joining this week.

It is unclear whether injuries will affect him in the PGA Championship, which begins Thursday at the Quazur Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Tegala was the third player to withdraw from the Truist Championship, after Justin Rose (Illness) and Michael Kim (Buck).
