Donovan Mitchell may have left Game 4 early due to an injury, but NBA fans think that’s a harbinger of what’s going on.

The Cleveland Cavaliers were absolutely destroyed by the Indiana Pacers in Game 4. The Cavs never sought to threaten the Pacers, who had barely sealed the game since the first quarter.

Donovan Mitchell has struggled with injuries throughout the series. Mitchell condemned the Cavaliers’ Game 2 loss for concerns about injury to him and everyone else.

However, he helped them return to Game 3 to win. Kenny Atkinson praised Donovan Mitchell for his stunning performance in the victory.

It was a different story tonight as Mitchell didn’t finish the game. He went to the locker room early with an ankle injury. However, fans are skeptical, and some even claim that it suggests his future with the Cavaliers.

Several NBA fans were heavily on X about Donovan Mitchell leaving the game after getting injured. Some questioned the legitimacy of the injury, while others wondered whether he was showing his intentions for the summer.

One fan simply claimed: “‘ankle injury’. I’m sure it’s half of 41. ”

While another fan wrote, “an injury gimmick to make a 30-point loss look a little better”

One of the Cavaliers fans was Mitchell’s defensive. “Well, they’re losing on his numbers, so there’s no reason he’ll come back anyway.”

Fans joked: “Donovan Mitchell booked a Cancun flight at halftime…”

Another fan questioned whether this marks the end of Cleveland’s Mitchell. “Yeah, he’s leaving Cleveland.”

3-1, the Cavaliers look completely defeated. And of course, the franchise has a brilliant history of returning from 3-1.

However, the way they played so far stimulates little confidence among their fanbase. It requires a complete transformation in their fate and could be a comeback.

The Cavaliers had an incredible regular season performance. But in the playoffs they looked like their own shells.

If the Cavaliers want to go back and reach the Eastern Conference Finals, they will need to turn their form around on a massive scale.
