Arsenal is interested in signing Canadian international striker Jonathan David on a free transfer when his contract expires with LOSC LILLE.
The 25-year-old has decided not to sign a French outfit and extension, and he is also on the Liverpool and Chelsea radar. However, Interlive’s claims that Arsenal is currently leading the race for his signature.
It is still unclear whether they will be able to complete the deal.
Arsenal needs a striker
It’s no secret that Arsenal needs quality strikers, and Canada International would be the ideal acquisition for them. He was able to organize the issues scoring their goals and form a solid partnership between Bucayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.
The League One star tries to prove himself at the highest level, and the move to the Premier League is ideal for him. Arsenal was able to provide him with a platform to regularly fight for the trophies. The striker has 25 goals and 12 assists in all competitions this season. He was able to prove that it was a major upgrade to Gabriel Jesus and Kai Herberts.

Meanwhile, Chelsea will also need an upgrade from Nicholas Jackson. The former La Liga striker has mixed spells at the London Club. Chelsea need better players if they want to win a major trophy.
As far as Liverpool is concerned, the need for a reliable finisher is no secret. Darwin Nunes has been overwhelmed this season, and Diogo Jota is suffering from persistent injuries. Signing a quality striker is a priority for Liverpool and heads towards the summer transfer window. Signing a free transfer can prove to be a master stroke. It improves their offense and allows them to invest in other parts of the team as well.
