The New York Knicks won a monumental Game 4 victory against the Boston Celtics, moving up 3-1 in the second round series. The Knicks are currently earning one victory from the Eastern Conference Finals.
It was a great performance from the Knicks. Unfortunately, many of the headlines from last night’s match came from Jason Tatum’s horrible injuries.
As much as the injury was tragic, we shouldn’t take away how well the Knicks went. Jalen Brown called out his Celtics teammates for awful defence.
But when I ask Jalen Brunson, the Knicks just played offensively at an elite level. And he thinks the best hasn’t come yet.

At a postgame press conference, Jalen Brunson spoke about his previous playoff runs for the New York Knicks. He admitted that this series was one of the toughest things they’ve played as a team.
Branson believes the Knicks are doing well against the reigning champions, but they haven’t played the best basketball on a team yet.
“I think it was a sense of urgency and despair. We just know that we have great opportunities and we’re playing a really good team. I don’t think we’re playing the best basketball yet.”
“We have a fairly new team this year, but we still have a long way to go to be the best team.”
“There is always time to learn for us. We need to never be satisfied and make sure we have that student spirit.”

Jalen Brunson was a star of the show despite not playing like he was. In this series, he averages 28.0 points, 7.8 assists and 4.0 rebounds.
Vernon Maxwell recently called Branson a “murderer” and showed no fear to the court. That’s what they need to get over the Celtics.
The Knicks are one game away from reaching the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since 1999. They have a legitimate opportunity to push the championship.
The franchise gathered the team together to compete for the championship. And while their regular season performance left a lot to hope for, the Knicks are alive at just the right time.
