Brad Tavares remains on the UFC roster

Damon Martin of Mmafighting has reported that Brad Tavares’ contract is expired. The report is accurate and has even been pointed out that Tavares could potentially sign a new UFC transaction. In an episode of “Still Friends Show,” Tavares confirmed that he had ticked a new deal with top MMA promotions while his old deal was lapsed.

“So my last fight was the last fight of my previous contract, so the contract expired,” Tavares told the Still Friends Show Podcast. “It’s funny, the UFC, whatever it is, I don’t know if it’s some AI type shit or department they have, but they’re on top of it.

“Anyway, I was in the middle of negotiating a new contract. That’s what I did. It was when all the news came out and it was interesting for me.”

Tavares admitted that he had a bit of fun staying quietly, knowing he was in place when the report surfaced.

“It’s funny, everyone was reaching out, people, close friends, even family members have others who have seen it, like, ‘I saw this’. “Me, me, I’m the type of guy. I’m just going to leave it behind, I’ll try not to address anything and let people guess.”

Tavares has been a member of the UFC roster since 2010. He competed in “The Ultimate Fighter” before signing his first UFC deal. Tavares shared the Octagon with some of the biggest names in the middleweight division. This includes current UFC middleweight champion Doricus Duplesis and former two-time title holder Israel Adesanya.
