Kumble believes that both Rohit and Kohli are worthy of farewells on the field. He also believes that both players have several years left.

Anil Kumble was the Indian team head coach between 2016 and 2017. He was forced to quit his tenure before the period due to a rift between Indian skipper Kohli.

During his tenure, India was the number one side in the test rankings. Kumble served as the permanent coach of the Indian team at the shortest time.

Kumble finished his cricket career with 619 wickets in Test cricket, and he is the leading wicket taker in Indian red ball format.
