Ireland is preparing for many bilateral series scheduled to begin later this month, citing three minor international cricket. The Irish team tours the West Indies in the White Ball Series.

The bilateral series includes both the inter-team ODI and the T20IS series. Paul Sterling will continue to lead the Irish team in whiteball format, while Harry Tecter will become the representative of the series.

Three unnamed names of the Irish team

Irish cricket has nominated three players on the team against the West Indies. The names of Tom Mayes and Liam McCarthy, named Cade Carmichael, Right Hundon and two fast bowlers, were first named by the Irish team.

The national selector of Irish team Andrew White praises all three uncaped players in April to demonstrate their UAE skills and abilities.

“Kade Carmichael has been on the road for several years. His talent, stroke play and resilience were fully on display for the wolves in April. And his rise over the past few years is a real demonstration of consistent performance and his ability to adapt his game to conditions is recognized in international calls,” White said after the selection.

White also praised the two young pacers. Young Pace also got the maiden’s call, McCarthy and Maze.

The Irish team is scheduled to face the West Indies in six years. Last time, the two teams collided in 2019.

Ireland vs. West Indies White Ball Series Two Phases

The iRe vs Wi Whiteball Series is divided into two phases. The first phase begins with three ODIs starting May 21st and ends on May 25th.

In this window, both teams will play three T20I matches, with the second phase playing from June 12th to 15th.

The break between both series is as the West Indies tours England over the last two and a half weeks.

The Irish team is suffering from an ODI series defeat against Zimbabwe in Zimbabwe. They lost the series 2-1 and also the T20IS series 1-0.
