Jack Hermanson will eventually return to the Octagon at UFC 317 at the end of June.

Hermanson last fought in February 2024 when he decided on Joe Pyfer in the main event of the five rounds. After that fight, Hermanson suffered several injuries, and he was on the sidelines and was unable to fight.

“It was my body, it was a hassle,” Hermanson told bjpenn.com’s scrap radio. “I’ve been injured but I couldn’t train. Then I’ll go back slowly with rehabilitation and increase my training very slowly. Finally, I feel like I’m at a point where I can book a fight. Fight.”
On vacation, after a year, Hermanson sometimes admitted that he didn’t know if he could fight again. However, after his body begins to get healthier, he is sure there are still many years left in his career.
“It’s tricky because I don’t know how your body will heal. I was sure I’d be back, but there were days when I was suspicious. At this point, I feel really good,” Hermanson said. “Now I feel like I’ve been around for years.”
