For the third year in a row, the San Antonio Spurs have a top-four selection in upcoming drafts. On Wednesday, ESPN’s Jonathan Givony showed strong what Spurs plans for June. Givony said he is confident that Rutgers’ Dylan Harper will be second overall selected by Spurs.

Is Dylan Harper drafted by the Spurs?

As a nationally ranked player in the class of 2024, Dylan Harper chose to stay close to his home. He played only the college season with the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. Ace Bailey, the second-place player in the 2024 high school class, joined Harper and played for Rutgers. However, the duo could not take the program to another level. Anyway, Dylan Harper and Ace Bailey are predicting the top three picks in the June draft.

On Wednesday, ESPN’s Jonathan Givony spoke with Mailika Andrews in the NBA today. Draft analysts discussed his belief in what the Spurs will do with the #2 pick in the 2025 draft. Givony said he was definitely “99.9%” to draft Dylan Harper in June. Additionally, Givony said he believes the Spurs will be able to work in the backcourt with De’aaron Fox, Stephon Castle and Dylan Harper.

When speaking to Andrew, Givony noted that Dylan Harper has measurements on guard comparable to Dwayne Wade. Both have 6’4 or less and have 6’10+ Wingspan. So Dylan Harper is the top two picks predicted in the 2025 draft. His size and skill make him an elite two-way perspective. Jonathan Gibbonney noted that the Spurs are not interested in trade at the moment. The draft is still over a month away. It may change, but all indications point to drafting Dylan Harper #2 in San Antonio.
