Tottenham’s favorite to sign the £30 million defender Liverpool wants

2 Min Read

Tottenham had to sign defensive reinforcements this summer and established vision on the League One star in their bid to improve team options before next season.

For Tottenham, it was a humiliating domestic season for Tottenham, who was in 17th place at the Premier League table in two matches. However, beating Manchester United in the Europa League final will ensure Champions League football will be secured in the 2025-26 campaign, which will help them retain their current players and attract new players.

The fullback is an area Tottenham wants to bolster, which could be particularly necessary if Pedro Polo leaves. And the latest is that there are already possible alternatives lined up.

As reported by GivemeSport (via Shoot), Tottenham is interested in Monaco’s right-back Vanderson. And not only that, they are considered favorites for signing the Brazilian star.

Liverpool has also shown interest in Vanderson in recent weeks as they continue to work to replace Trent Alexander Arnold, tied up by Real Madrid. However, given that they are locked up in Jeremie Frimpong’s contract, it opens the door for Tottenham to make a relatively clear run to sign the 23-year-old.

Vanderson was impressed in League One this season. Moving to the Premier League could be the next step in his career. Tottenham may be an attractive outlook, especially if he is in the Champions League next season, but at this stage it’s hard to see how he will secure regularly, given that Ange Postecoglou already has the Polo and DJed Spence as right-back options.
