The UFC Hall of Fame commentators do not believe in Islamic Makhachev, rooted in Beral Muhammad’s defeat at UFC 315.

Islam Maakhachev Belal Muhammad

Mohammed put the UFC welterweight championship in danger against Jacques Della Maddalena in Montreal last Saturday. Joining the fight, UFC CEO Dana White said the outcome would have a major impact on Makhachev’s next fight. Maddalena defeated Muhammad to capture 170 pounds of gold.

Makhachev will free up lighter gold to win the welterweight title. Recently, UFC welterweight champion Joaquin Buckley has been having fun on social media, claiming that Makhachev “prays” for Muhammad’s downfall.

Cormier defends Makhachev

Daniel Cormier went to his YouTube channel and spoke to people who believed that Islam Makhachev really wanted to lose the UFC welterweight championship (via Mmajunkie) to Beral Muhammad.

“I don’t think Makhachev was praying for Beral to lose,” Kolmier told her YouTube channel. “I know that guy. I don’t think he wants to see one of his friends lose to get the opportunity for himself. But what is Buckley doing, from what he’s doing to trying to target Ian McChev?

Regardless of what Makachev thought during Muhammad’s fight against Madalena, he has the opportunity to achieve his goal of winning UFC Gold in the second heavy class. Given the fact that Maddalena is only in a five-round title fight, the Welterweight Title Fight date has not been announced.

However, the match has been confirmed by Dana White.
