Three start times in the severe weather delay PGA Championship

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Inclement weather pushed Tee Times back over three hours in Saturday’s third round of the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow Club.

Play was scheduled to begin at 8:15am ET, but play was stopped due to lightning.

PGA of America has announced that 74 players who made the 36-hole cut will play their third split t-shirt on their third split tee starting at 11:43am ET.

Venezuela’s Jonattan Vegas, which has a two-stroke lead, is 1:55 PM at

World No. 1 Golfer Scotty Schaeffler (5 under), Max Homa (5 under), and Siui Kim (6 under) will begin at 1:44pm ET.

Masters champion Rory McIlroy had to work to make a cut in one over, but came in 10th at 1:38pm (1 over) for PGA Championship winners Xander Schauffele (1 over) and Chris Kirk (1 over).

The bad weather disrupts players’ practice at Quazur Hollow on Monday and Tuesday, leaving the course soaked after more than four inches of rain fell.

Scheffler, Schauffele and others criticized the PGA’s PGA for not playing because the field is prioritized lying.
