Newcastle United are interested in signing Southampton’s winger Tyler Dieling at the end of the season.
According to Chronicle’s report, they were able to use Target as part of this move to sweeten Southampton’s deal. It remains to be seen whether Southampton is ready to accept a £10,000 left-back in a deal with a talented young attacker.
The attacker could cost him a significant amount, about £100 million.
Newcastle needs someone like Tyler’s Diling
Diling is expected to move on in the summer, and Newcastle is a good fit to secure his signature. The 19-year-old has received high praise in the Premier League and he is an outstanding figure for the saint. He has been linked to top clubs recently.
He’s too good to play in the championship and will want to stay on top flights beyond this summer. Participating in Newcastle is a great opportunity for players too. They were able to use deeper depths with attacking units, and Diling was able to complete the front three alongside Alexander Isaac and Anthony Gordon.
The young attacker will want to compete at a high level, and Newcastle can offer him the opportunity. They are fighting for Champions League qualifiers and have also won the English League Cup. They have ambitious projects and quality squads. It remains to be seen whether Newcastle will be able to get trades across the line.
Matt Targett needs a new start
Meanwhile, Targett struggles with his regular game in Newcastle and it’s no surprise that they’re willing to win cash on him. The 29-year-old wants to play regularly, and leaving Tyneside is also ideal for him.
Targett has played for Southampton in the past, and returning to his previous club might be ideal for him. Southampton needs to improve defensively, and the 29-year-old can help them in the championship next season.
