It covers all of the results of tonight’s UFC Vegas 106, including a lightweight match between Sodiq Yusuff and Mairon Santos.
Yusuff (13-5 MMA) enters tonight’s match in hopes of snapping a skid who lost two games. “Super” is defeated by Diego Lopez and Edson Barboza in their latest two Octagon appearances. Before these setbacks, Nigerian standouts were beating Alex Caceres and Don Shinis.
Meanwhile, Mairon Santos (16-1 MMA) recently competed in the UFC 313 event in March, scoring as a split decision victory over Francis Marshall. “Legend” has not experienced defeat since 2022 when they were competing under the LFA banner.

This round of lightweight matchups for the UFC Vegas 106 begins, with Santos kicking. Soqiq Yusuff responds with one of his own. Santos steps in with his left hand before landing a good right. Fighter trade kicks and both men slip off. Both pop up quickly and reset quickly. sodiq yusuff shoots for a takedown. Myron Santos defends and lands a lovely elbow. The horn sounds like it’s over round one.
Round 2 begins and Santos immediately begins with a kick again. Yusuf returns the fire with his own pair. Santos responds with a high kick that at least seems a little surprised. Santos throws another, but this time he’s blocked. Yusuf appears to push the action, but Myron Santos continues to look solid at his counter. A good action to close the second frame.
The third and final rounds begin, with Sodiq Yusuff coming out aggressively. He probably needs a finish here. A good left hand, and another left hand from “Super”. He tries a low kick, but Santos checks it and lands a good counter punch. Myron appears to be very composed there tonight. Yousaf continues pushing forward. He lands a chipping standing elbow and then a low kick. Myron Santos continues to fire with great success, landing a jab and then another low kick. Both men have their right hand on top. Yusuf with a nice low kick on the outside. Santos answers on his own. Two minutes remain in the fight. Santos forces the clinch and pushes Yusuf into the cage. He lands a knee and a short shot before Sodiq breaks freely. Returning to range, Santos continues to find success. He was accurate with his shot tonight. The horn sounds and you go to the judge’s scorecard.
