Sky Sports Pandit Jamie Karager has denounced West Ham United’s Mohamed Kudus for his performance this season.

West Ham clashed with a defeat against Nottingham Forest, and the 24-year-old put another unfortunate display on his side.

Carragher Slams Mohammed Kudus

Carragher believes he is a high-quality player worthy of playing at a high level, but his performance has been overwhelming this season, which is one of the reasons West Ham struggled as a team.

He said on Sky Sports:

“But perhaps one reason West Ham is where they are this season is because they don’t show the form he showed last season.

“Last season he looked great (but) he didn’t look the same player this season.

“So, West Ham needs money, but other clubs might think this is just an offseason for him, so it wouldn’t be surprising if there was any change in any way. Last season was a real kudus.

“And if they can get that player, it could be a good signature. So it could be the type of situation that might possibly work for (all those involved).”

Can West Ham keep him in the club?

Kudus is undoubtedly the highest quality player that has been able to help the hammer improve in the future. But he is not at his best, and as a result, the Londoners are suffering. They already lack the quality and depth of their attacking units. Summer Signature Niclas Fullkrug has proven ineffective, and he also struggles with injuries issues. West Ham has to resort to Kudos and Jarrod Bowen in the attack, and the unfortunate form of Ghana International costs him on his side.

It will be interesting to see if West Ham can convince him to stay at the club beyond this summer. There’s no doubt they’ll need him next season. However, the 24-year-old is linked to Exit, and it’s unlikely that there will be a shortage of clubs who want him to sign.

It would be interesting to see if players decided to go ahead and join a big club in the summer. He has been linked to Premier League clubs for the past few weeks. The Saudi Arabian club is also monitoring his situation.
