Liverpool is said to have to break their transfer records if they are interested in signing one of their goals this summer.
The Reds are keeping an eye on new players in several positions this summer, and manager Arne Slot is keen to strengthen their squad next season despite winning the league this season.
The Reds are set to lose defender Trent Alexander Arnold this summer, and they’ve already secured a deal with Bayer Leverkusen right-wing back Jeremy Fripon to replace the outgoing right-back.
This season, after a disappointing performance from Darwinnes, a new striker has turned his eyes to the club to lead the offense.
Liverpool told Rodrigo to pay a large price
According to a football insider, Real Madrid is seeking £100 million from Premier League clubs, particularly high-profile attacker Rodrigo, in particular Liverpool.
Rodrigo, who has been with Real Madrid since 2019, has experienced a fluctuating and prominent season due to some of the arrivals of famous players like Killian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham.
These additions have led to speculation about Rodrigo’s future with the club, which won two Champions League titles in Real Madrid in 2022 and 2024, and intensified competition to start the position.
Liverpool’s interest in Rodrigo is nothing new. The club has been monitoring his progress since his early days in Santos. The current situation provides Liverpool with the opportunity to secure players for Rodrigo’s caliber.
Several Premier League clubs are interested in Rodrigo
Journalist Pete O’Rourke has provided the latest updates on Real Madrid’s Rodrigo.
“It would be a huge fee to try and seduce him from Real Madrid.” He told the soccer insider.
“The minimum you’re talking about is probably over £700 million, and I’m sure Real Madrid is probably as close as possible to £100 million.
“Manchester City’s Arsenal is mentioned. Liverpool is mentioned. If a player like Rodrigo becomes available and you want to leave, Chelsea will probably throw their hats into the ring.”
If the chance arises, Premier League clubs want to sign players like Rodrigo, but the asking price for Real Madrid may prove too high for them.
He is a versatile offensive player and can play in a variety of positions, and will be a great addition to Premier League clubs.
