Why is Ilia Topria breaking up with Climent Brothers before the UFC 317 title fight?

According to a report by Prat in Marca, Topuria and Climent Brothers split up on good terms. Their division is based more on logistics than anything else.

“The parties live in different cities and their multiple professional projects prevent them from working together in the same way they have all the time,” Pratt reported in Spanish. He added that Topuria Brothers “awesome all of these things about mutual learning and growth and I sincerely hope that they are all the best in all their projects.”

It is still unclear who Topuria has on his team when he strengthened his UFC 317 training.

Topuria won the featherweight title early last year with an impressive knockout of MMA legendary Alexander Volkanovski. Later in the year he defended the belt with a knockout from Max Holloway. Holloway has never been stopped by a strike before. Shortly after that, Topuria decided to free up the belt and move it lighter.

Topuria campaigned against the king of pound pound Islamic Makachev, who had held a long-standing lightweight belt. However, Makhachev opened his belt to change departments. He is expected to challenge welterweight champion Jack Della Maddalena for the welterweight belt soon.
