Rigney Racing’s super talented filly Two Sharp She is scheduled to make her 4-year-old debut on Monday against eight rivals who are $250,000 in her 22nd Grade 3 run. The colour of victory At Churchill Downs.
To end the campaign three years ago, two Sharp, two 3/4-long winners of the Chillukki Stakes (G3), have been preparing her return since early April. The speedy daughter of spinning candy has never been more than 4-5 conflicted throughout her five-race career.
Two Sharps asking for the second time at 11 1/4 length in Saratoga, then finished the closest finish of Brightwork in Prioress (G3). She followed that effort with a 6 1/4 length allowance at Keeneland before Chirukki’s victory. Junior Alvarado rides from 9 to 9.
Brightwork is also expected to return in the colour of Monday’s victory. Owned by WSS Racing and trained by John Ortiz, Brightwork has been on the sidelines since finishing third in the Thoroughbred Club of America Stakes (G2) at Keeneland on October 5th. She began her career with four consecutive victories, including the Debutant Stakes, the Adirondacks (G3) and Spinaway (G1). Trying two turns, after an offboard finish with the boy’s filly of Alcibiades (G1) and Breaders’ Cup, she returned to one turn before rebounding with a pre-less victory. The winning colour fields also include multiple Grade 3 winner Hope Road, the second most recent finish for the Copion in Derby City Disaff (G1), and the Palace of Mink, the winner of the Loxerana Stakes in the opening night of the spring tournament at Churchill Downs.
