The situation with Xavi Simons will certainly be something to see this summer as the Dutch talent has decided to leave Red Bull Leipzig.
The transfer fee could be around 70-75 million euros, but you can also see how Leipzig works together as he is informed how he wants to try something new.
Simons is now represented by his brother Fautino. He is ready to look for his opportunity this summer.
From Zabi Simons to Barcelona or Bayern Munich?
Simons’ own dream was always to become a Barcelona player and return to Barcelona, just like he played for the academy. However, at this point, Barcelona has different priorities, so this is not a concrete negotiation for now.
Don’t forget that Barca must be clear about their financial fair play situation.
My understanding is that I am also interested in Bayern Munich, but only if they don’t get Florian Wiltz – for now, Bayern’s priorities remain to sign Bayer Leverkusen’s German talent.
So, if Bayern doesn’t get Wirtz, Simons could be Bayern’s option. However, as mentioned earlier, Bayern has confidence in Wirtz, and Manchester City left the race for a contract as the overall package appears to be too expensive.
Premier League Transfer looks like an option for Xavi Simons
And then of course, all the top Premier League clubs are informed of the situation for Zabi Simons. It’s still too early to see where he can go and how things can go, but certainly England is a destination highly regarded by Xavi Simons.
Let’s see what happens, but the Premier League could be Zabi Simons’ next destination, expected to leave RB Leipzig during the summer transfer period.
