Chet Holmglen’s defense was the main reason the Minnesota Timberwolves were limited to just 88 points. Rudy Gobert only scored two points in the game.

The Timberwolves actually led at halftime, but the OKC Thunder blew them off with a 70-40 scoreline in the second half.

X fans and analysts were Raveded about the impact Holmgren made, with the young star playing in his first conference final game.

A fan of X wrote: “Chet may be the most underrated player in League RN. I feel that people will take his defensive impact, almost for granted that he is completely changing the game.”

A second fan added: “Chet is doing some special defensively right now.”

“That stretch that Chet was a lonely big guy, and it was scary that he stopped the rim completely,” another added.

The fourth writes: “The gravity of Chet Holmgren’s shooting may be a factor in why OKC makes the Timberwolves a body. He can keep Gobert from roaming around.”

“I can’t lie to Chet Holmgren. I’ve opened this 4QTR all the way through,” another fan added.

The sixth said, “Man’s defense seems to be increasingly dominant every night. Holmgren lives on the hype.”

From an offensive standpoint, Chet Holmgren scored 15 points, scoring from his only three-point attempt, and five more points from within the paint.

Holmglen added seven rebounds and three assists, but his impact on the defensive side was further highlighted by his two blocks and one steel.

Speaking at a post-game press conference, Holmgren said he knew he had to improve in the second half.

He said: “I was stinking it in the first half. The game isn’t going to reward you. I was able to increase the intensity, play harder, find a little more gas in the tank and actually show it on the defensive side.”

Holmglen also paid tribute to impressive role player Kenrich Williams, but his own influence deserves praise as QWLL. His second half set the standard that he must follow for the rest of the playoffs.
