Tottenham won the 2024-25 Europa League – ending a 17-year trophy drought in the process – a 1-0 victory over Man United at San Mamez.

It was a very crude encounter in Bilbao. This embodies the fact that the two teams are in 16th and 17th place in the Premier League. But for Tottenham, that’s little important now, as they finished the season with the trophy. In addition to this, they have secured qualifications for the Champions League next season.

Brennan Johnson scored the only goal of the game just before halftime, but acquired the helper hand from Lukeshaw. And the 1-0 scoreline was held like in the second term after an incredible goal line clearance from Tottenham defender Mickey Van de Ben.

There were seven painful minutes for Tottenham to endure the downtime, but the white edge of the saury bean exploded with emotion after referee Felix Zwager blew his whis away.

There were tears of joy between the Tottenham players and the supporters, but for the post-coglu he wore a big smile. Last summer, he noted that he won the trophy in his second season with the club he manages, and he offered it in this Europa League success.

It was a chaotic season for Tottenham, but the suffering for their supporters is now worth it. There will be celebrations when we return to North London, but we will also need to focus on summers where major changes are needed to ensure they are far superior in the Premier League.

For now, it will be in party mode for Tottenham supporters in London and around the world in Bilbao. Postecoglou and his players are also having fun.
