Jason Kidd believes Anthony Davis is ready to “cause problems.”

Jason Kidd looks forward to Anthony Davis taking over next season as the Dallas Mavericks are at the helm with him.

The Dallas Mavericks probably had the most polarised year in franchise history. Over a 12-month period, the Mavericks went to the NBA Finals and traded Luka Donsic to secure their first overall pick.

Despite the odds of 1.8%, the Mavericks landed their first overall pick, which gave them the opportunity to draft Cooper Flags and build around him in the coming years.

In all of this drama, the presence of Anthony Davis, who was on board as part of the Don Chic trade, was unnoticed.

Well, Jason Kidd has been keeping an eye on Anthony Davis, and he is very optimistic about the impact of the former NBA champion next season.

Jason Kidd was a guest on the DLLS MVS podcast. When talking about the upcoming season and how the Mavericks deal without Kyrie Irving, Kidd saw his big name.

He pointed out Anthony Davis and PJ Washington as players who provide size and spacing to dominate at the offensive edge, and Davis in particular proved to be a matter of opposition to his advocates.

“I think it causes problems when you’re double-teamed. That’s what we believe. Advertising is what causes problems.”

“I believe we can get bigger so that PJ (Washington) gets better and knock down three, and play faster.

Kidd also spoke about Klay Thompson. He believes he will bring about the veteran experience and only improve his performance this season.

“When I looked at Klay again, we didn’t raise him. I thought he had an incredible season not only in the floor, but in the locker room.

“Being a veterinarian, because there was a lot of speculation that he wanted him not to be here, but he was nothing more than a true professional.

“When we talk about making shots, we can see different things because we get bigger and we can create double teams of those.

“Now we need to be consistent with being able to knock down wide open shots, just like everyone else in this league.”

Thompson played well, but was not consistent enough when combining strong performances. Hopefully the Mavericks will be able to make him play at a high level on a regular basis next season.
