Rishabh Pant has finally responded to fake news that Lucknow’s Super Giants (LSG) is releasing him ahead of IPL 2026. He added that LSG management feels 27 crores in IPL is very high.
Rishabh Pant’s poor form has raised doubts about his T20 career, with some fans targeting him for LSG co-owner Sanjiv Goenka to release him before next season.

Rishabh Pant has accused News24 Sports journalist Vaibhav Bhola for mentioning the evil facts on social media. Pants said fake news with an agenda would not help anyone other than his own agenda, and insisted that journalists should post reliable news that will help more fans.
“I understand that fake news gives more traction to content, but don’t build everything around it. And trustworthy news helps to make fake news rather than Agenda. Thank you for a good day. Let’s take responsibility and be wise for what we put out on social media,” Panto wrote in X.

Rishabh Pant fails as a skipper
Rishabh Pant doesn’t feel the pressure of the captain, and at the same time a price tag of 27 kroles may be the reason for his unperformance.
Pants scored 135 runs in 12 games with just 100 strike ratings. The average pants are the lowest compared to other IPL captains. His average is just 12.27 this season.
LSG was knocked out of IPL 2025 due to poor performance in the game’s clutch moments. But Pants were confident after a pathetic season with the bats.
Prior to the encounter, Pants shared insights into the team’s mental approach. “In general, the thought process is about looking at the positive side, not thinking about the negative. That’s how you think. That’s how you want to build the process around your team. Instead of looking at the negative side, look at the positivity and embrace it,” Panto said.
