Former Cage Warriors champion Liverpool’s Pinblett has been extremely impressive since winning seven consecutive fights since joining the UFC. In his final battle, a biased TKO won former Bellator champion Michael Chandler, he evolved from the outlook to a legitimate lightweight competitor.

Currently ranked 8th in Lightweight, Pimblett is waiting for his next opponent. He is one of the most popular fighters in the UFC right now, so there are certainly options. It’s hard to imagine a better option than Arman Tsarukyan.

The emperor appears to be on the UFC’s naughty list at the very end, and was bailed out in the January title battle with Islam Makhachev. However, he is still the number one fighter in the promotional rankings.

Despite being ranked at some distance before Pimblett, he recently told Red Corner MMA he was willing to fight Britt this summer.

“He was pretty good in his final battle,” the emperor said. “Now, I can say he can take down a top 10 fighter jet. He’s number 8 or something.

“Maybe he wants to fight at the end of this year, but I want to fight this summer and at the end of this year,” he added. “I think he’s going to beat Michael Chandler because (this summer) he has a big name, and he’s got six or seven (fights) straight wins. He’s never lost in the UFC.
