Godolphin’s Kentucky Derby Award-winning Homebread sovereignty It has posted its second installment on the Oklahoma Training Track on the Saratoga Race Course since capturing Rose Running on May 3rd.

Sovereignty with Eclipse Award-winning rider Neil Poznansky Up first galloped an oval almost complete rap in the usual way for Hall of Fame trainer Bill Mott. He and Arthur’s ride began towards the outside and about two lengths of Arthur’s ride, standing near the gap on the first turn, before they broke for work.

Nyra Clockers caught him with a split of 12.4, 25.2 and 37.8 seconds before Sovereign reached the turn in his company, moving forward to him through five furlongs at 1:02.54, galloping at 1:17 flats and 1:33.10.

“I thought it was fine,” Mott said in his barn. “He was a little strong in the warm-up. When he (Poznanski) turned him over, he quickly went to the other horses.

Sovereignty returned to the Oklahoma Work Tab last week to have a solo half-mile in 49.76 seconds under Poznanski. Missiev Bay is marked by the Belmont Stakes at the Spa on June 7th.

Sovereignty won three of his final four starts, and in addition to his derby coup, he scored on the streets as a young and young fountain (G2) as a sophomore.

Mott said he has noticed a change in the overall attitude of the talented Colt on the track since the first Saturday in May.

“He’s a little more aggressive,” Mott said. “It (the Derby) doesn’t let him back. He’s a little stronger than him. He wasn’t that strong (before the Derby).”

Mott said he expects sovereignty to blow another wind before Belmont.

“You hope he trains well for fair track until the next race, and you’ll go from there,” Mott said.

Tapit’s 5-year-old son, Arthur’s Ride, is in his fourth job this year and has not started with an offboard finish since it was held at Del Mar at Breaders’ Cup Classic in November.

“I thought he did well in the first five. He was probably a little tired,” Mott said. “He doesn’t have that many.”

Judd Monte’s Scylla, the final fourth place finisher of Derby City Disaff (G1) on May 3, is a potential candidate for the $300,000 Bed O’ Roses (G2) at the Belmont Stakes Racing Festival on June 6.
