Gujarat Titans (GT) young batter Sai Sudarsan has opened for his batting position in Team India’s lineup in the 5-match Test series against England. The left-handed batsman also says he’s not in a position to choose where he will hit, and is ready to play wherever Gautam Gambir decides.

On Saturday, May 24th, BCCI revealed an 18-man player team for a five-in-a-test series against England. Shubman Gill was appointed new captain and Rishabh Pants was appointed his vice-president. The much-anticipated Test series between the two teams is scheduled to begin in Leeds on June 20th.

“Sir, I think it’s a huge privilege for cricketers to play for the country itself, so I don’t think I’m in a position to choose where I want to play,” Sudalsan said.

Sai Sudarsan said the coaching staff is ready to hit wherever he needs him. The young batsman added that he is mentally and technically ready for every role. Sudharsan made it clear that he is willing to adapt to the team’s requirements without hesitation.

“I think I am clearly clever mentally when the coach tells me to play.

“I have a lot of preferences. I think I need to be prepared for the (position) my team gave me. I’m ready for that.”
