In a sit-in interview, former lightweight Charles Oliveira responds to former featherweight champion Ilia Topria’s apology for rubbish talk that he is likely to spew with the Brazilian MMA icon. Oliveira dismissed the flicker as he claimed in his interview that he had heard it all before. The former champion said:
“I’ve been there for 15 years. I’ve seen a lot of these guys say a lot. I’m giving up. I’m about to lose.
Charles Orviera’s evolution was a spectacular sight. When he was a young fighter, he gave up many names in his early career, including Cub Swanson and Jim Miller, bestowed and even tapped for a strike with Paulo Felder. Then to advance to an 11-game winning streak, culminating in a lightweight title victory over Michael Chandler, beating the likes of Justin Gösche and Dustin Poirier is a huge shift for any fighter.
Charles Oliveira has more mountains to climb.
Many doubt Brazilian genius towards top competition, and it doesn’t seem to change anytime soon. Oliveira is a weaker person in comparison to Ilia Topuria. In particular, Spain and Georgian have won two or more of the biggest featherweights in the history of the sport, and have also achieved knockout power even in light weight. Charles Oliveira has another mountain climbing to a very balanced young master at Toplia, UFC 317.
