Fark must have been “exciting to see” the Leeds star under Bielsa

After securing promotions from the championship at the end of the season, Leeds United must add cleverly based on success.

Daniel Fark has returned to the Premier League, but the effort begins for the Germans given the nature of the tasks they faced in 2025/26.

The last six teams promoted to England’s top flight are struggling with relegation soon after returning to tier 2 as they all try to avoid suffering the same fate.

However, despite registering a total of 100 points for this campaign, you will still need to invest from the ranks to be competitive and maintain your Premier League status.

Managers will also have to move some players off Elland Road, with multiple players already being promoted in transfers away from Yorkshire over the coming months.

The latest players who can leave Leeds this summer

Leftback Junior Furpo is one player scheduled to leave Leeds this summer, and his contract is now over a month before becoming a free agent.

He has since been promoted in many moves away from Yorkshire, with the real Betis in Spanish costumes being strongly linked to the 28-year-old’s resignation move ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

Striker Mateo Joseph has had high hopes this season, but it’s safe to say the Spaniard has struggled a lot, scoring just three goals on 39 league outings.

Like Firpo, he is also advertised in the summer switch to Lariga, and Betis is also keen on a deal to sign Spanish U21 International in the coming months.

However, despite his interest in the aforementioned pair, one player has to be sold from the club during the offseason, giving Fake the funds to make changes to his team.

Players that Farke needs to sell this summer

After two years of absence from the top flight, Leeds will return to such department prior to 26/2025 and attempt to match the performance level he set himself in 2020/21.

Under the guidance of Marcelo Bielsa, the whites secured a ninth place finish and swept the division with the infamous “Bielsa Ball” system that requires high-intensity running.

Currently, only a large number of players on that team remain on Elland Road, with striker Patrick Bamford being one of those stars, scoring 17 times, resulting in the call of England.

Winger Jack Harrison is another talent that has been part of such a team, but he has been greatly disappointed in recent years being loaned out to Everton over the past few seasons.

On Elland Road, he caught his eye with his pace and eye contact, with former white star David Norris labeling him “looking exciting.”

He has earned a total of 207 appearances for the club across various spells and registered 34 targets at such times, but should not be given the opportunity to add to such tally in 2025/26.

After being demoted in 2022/23, he left Toffee on two independent loan stints to take part, but it was announced earlier this week that he would not make his deal permanent this summer.

As a result, he returns to Yorkshire, but Fark should sell him and raise money for new additions, and will need to try and revive his career elsewhere in the coming months.

Compared to his latest season in Yorkshire, his figures at Goodison Park highlight his end of the past few years, and they must desperately cut their tie and be able to move to new meadows.

The 28-year-old still has three years left on his current contract on Elland Road, but the amount of money he will require to sell him during the offseason remains unknown.

However, given this drop in performance, it is clear that if the side survives the DropNext campaign and the manager can create his own stamp for his team, he is not at the level he needs to be.
