Merab Dvalishvili has big plans for the rest of 2025 if he can beat Sean O’Malley twice.

Dvalishvili and O’Malley will collide again on June 7th at the UFC 316 headliner in Newark. He has already been beaten “sugar” by the unanimous decision to catch gold, but Dvalishvili is hoping for a more sharp and healthier version of this appearance.
If the 135 pound champion reaches the night of battle, he is not going to take much time.

Merab’s huge plan beyond UFC 316
In an interview with ESPN’s recently retired Anthony Smith, Merab Dvalishvili wanted to make it clear that she wanted to remain active following UFC 316.
“I don’t see this like an easy fight,” Dvalishvili said. “It’s going to be a challenge, but then I want to stay busy. I’ll just have a month off and go back to training camp. I’ve heard I’ll be fighting in Guadalajara, Mexico. I want to fight there, or in New York or in December, Vegas.”
Dvalishvili returned in 2020 when he fought more than three times in a year. Since winning UFC Gold, “The Machine” has said he wants to be a man from a trusted company. Dvalishvili has drawn the rage of UFC CEO Dana White in the past, but even the top MMA bosses have warmed up to the bantamweight champion.
The 135 pound title holder certainly will be able to surrender to the good bounty of the UFC if you continue to work beyond UFC 316 in 2025.
