“I always say that, but there’s a guy named Josh Neal who fought,” he said. “He’s a mother*cker. He’s my boy now. We’re our partners.
“But Josh Neal fought my brother (Nick Diaz was the first),” Diaz added. They were fighting for the 3 rounds, hard, Nick did him, hit him a lot, I was like, “This f*cking guy is crazy.” Nick then finished him in the third round. Most people who finished Nick were all in the first round, and perhaps in the second round.
“Time passed and then (Neal) fell to 155 (lbs) where I was fighting,” Diaz continued. “I was beating people. That’s because when I first got to the UFC, I beat a few people… they gave me Josh Neil, one of the top five guys.
“I saw him fight so much, and then I trained so perfectly for him that he threw a punch, slid underneath it, grabbed him and everything, but he refuted everything.
Are you surprised that Nate Diaz didn’t name someone like Conor McGregor and Jorge Masvidal as his toughest octagon opponents?
