Matt Brown defends the UFC over the situation of Movsar Evloev

In the latest edition of Mmafighting’s “The Fighter vs. The Writer,” Matt Brown came to the UFC’s defense and said the promotion has long been focused on running the business rather than genuine sports.

“Unfortunately for a guy like Movsar, you have to be a real fan even to know who he is (he’s having a winning streak and he can threaten (champion),” Brown said. “The truth is, most people don’t know his name. You go to the bar and mention Movsar Evloev. No one knows what you’re talking about.

“Again, you can’t necessarily diss UFC or hate them the way they do it. It’s f*cks people like Movsar. He’s become Sean O’Malley and isn’t trying to make pretty small social media videos. Also.”

Although not yet official by the UFC, it has been reported that Evloev will face Aaron Pico at the UFC show held in Abu Dhabi on July 26th. Pico is a former Bellator star who recently escaped from his PFL contract. It’s a great opportunity for Pico and a great risk for Evloev, who wants to doubt he should get a crack in £145 gold.
