West Ham United have linked the move to Galatasaray forward Barris Alper Ilmaz and are now dealing with his future.
The final tickets are still available for the Champions League Finals!
The 25-year-old is keen to have the opportunity to move to Europe, and it is clear that it could be a major boost for West Ham and others.
Hammer has previously been widely reported to have rejected a £30 million bid for Yilmaz, but if they try again for him now, they may have better luck.
Graham Potter looks like Ilmaz could be a good option to bring to London Stadium by bolstering his offense next season.
West Ham will need to re-shuffle their frontline after a disappointing season
It was a really poor season for West Ham, and Potter struggled after inheriting Julen Lopetegui’s outspoken team.
I imagine Potter would give him more time to turn things around, but some poor decisions were made while Lopetegui was there.
Spanish tacticians have also failed to make the most of people like Mohamed Kudus, who have been struggling since Potter’s arrival.
Yilmaz can play wide or on in advance, making it ideal to trade Kudus if the club ultimately decides to take over him.
Can West Ham bounce under the Potter?
But while there are probably more questions than Potter, the former Chelsea and Brighton bosses are confident they are under pressure to launch their 2025/26 campaign quickly.
whufc was in a pretty good place under David Moe, but it probably seems like a false decision to save him when they did.
Meanwhile, Potter flops for Chelsea despite having previously worked well in Brighton. It remains to be seen whether he is truly at this difficult challenge at West Ham.
