According to multiple sources, Bayer Levarksen is currently in discussions about signing Brentford goalkeeper Mark Frecken, who is in discussion with Liverpool by signing Caoimhin Kelleher on behalf of 31-year-old Dutch International.
What makes this story a complete merry-go-round is a credible report claiming Liverpool is in the final stages of negotiations to sign Florian Wiltz from Leverkusen. There was speculation that the 26-year-old Ireland International could be reversed as a make-weight on the contract, looking for a new goalkeeper and Kelleher wanting to leave Liverpool.
However, Eric Ten Hag, who was recently appointed head coach of the new Leverkusen, clearly prefers Brentford No. 1 over the man who works as a valuable backup to Liverpool’s Allison Becker.
Leverkusen is expected to pay Flekken between 10 and 14 million euros, but the fee for Kelleher to exchange Anfield for a community stadium has not yet been decided.
