Report – Petruyan for his return battle with Marcus McGee at UFC Abu Dhabi in July

Former interim and uncontroversial bantamweight champion Petr Yang is set to return to action at UFC Fight Night Abu Dhabi after signing surges of 10-1 candidate Marcus McGee from the UAE Etihad Arena on July 27th.

Currently second in the bantamweight limit, Yang has been on the sidelines since earning main event honors at UFC Fight Night Macau and earning former flyweight king Daveson Fijueild with a fiercely fighting unanimous decision victory.

Regarding the 13 rank McGee surge, Jonathan Martinez returned to Madison Square Garden last November, and won a unanimous decision victory over Riconing Jonathan Martinez.

Petruyan was set to fight Marcus McGee in UFC Abu Dhabi

News of Petr Yan’s return to Marcus McGhee was first reported tonight by Cageside Press on social media.

“Petr Yan vs. Marcus McGhee has been signed and the official #ufcabudhabi has been signed on July 26th.

In the midst of a two-game run after snapping three skids, the Russian engineer, Yang won a decision victory last year in Miami, which coincided the previous year.

Former bantamweight champion Yang scooped the vacant crown in his knockout victory in 2020. He then won interim loot in Cory San San Hagen’s decisive victory in Abu Dhabi.

For McGhee, the LFA alum has so far enjoyed an impressive four-game victory since his Octagon debut. Before he could beat Martinez, McGee had landed a notable victory like Gaston Bolanos, with JP having bought Buys.

UFC Fight Night Abu Dhabi will be held on July 27th. A high-stakes middleweight clash between former champions Robert Whitaker and Streaking, Leniel Drider, was brought into play from the UAE Etihad Arina.
