Paul George says Tylece Halliburton is already stepping up to take NBA honor

Paul George spoke about the league’s faces, including Halliburton in the conversation, giving him a huge tribute.

The Indiana Pacers have yet to reach the NBA Finals, but are now in their second appearance in franchise history.

Ty Halliburton has established himself as a superstar this postseason. He’s doing something in the playoffs that the NBA stars haven’t had in 23 years.

While Halliburton’s disastrous Game 5 performance left many desirable things, praise has flowed, with former Pacers star Paul George now joining the chorus.

Last year, Halliburton spoke about the “face of the league” and mentioned LeBron James. And now he’s also included in those conversations.

PG knows everything about being a young Indiana superstar. In a recent episode of Podcast P, he worked on Hari’s achievements and gave some major compliments.

“In my eyes, I think he’s a superstar,” George said. “He’s the NBA face. He’s the number one choice. He’s the first set-up point, but he can be the second half of your game.

“He was a clutch performer late in the game, and he can become an isolated player.

At 25, he has greatness, but he needs to finish his job. The Pacers are back to Indiana for Game 6 and they need to get past the line.

Halliburton’s playoff runs were phenomenal, but all of that goes back to normal even if they lead the New York Knicks 3-1 in the conference final.

The Pacer star scored 32 points, 12 rebounds and 15 assists at home in Game 4. He needs to find that form again in Game 6.

It’s hard to say that just getting into the NBA Finals is enough to put Halliburton in conversation as the face of the league. However, Lead Indiana is not negotiable within that context.
