Deepak Chahar, Jos Buttler from GT vs Mi Eliminator:
With so many crises in the game, both GT and MI would have preferred to make the full strength aspect into the field. However, both teams are forced to make some changes to the team combination due to the player’s departure and injury.
The GT is not Jos Buttler due to a big crash. The English star has to leave the IPL for national team duties and is currently trading with the UK in an ongoing ODI series against the West Indies.
Butler was a stubborn GT
Jos Buttler played a major role in the dominant performance of GT this season, but missing him would be a big blow for the 2022 IPL winner.
The right-handed batsman played in all 14 league games in GT, scoring 538 runs with the help of the 50s. With Jos Buttler unavailable, Sri Lankan star Kusal Mendis played Eleven on GT. They also replaced Arshad Khan with Washington Sunder for a key game.
Deepick at bad times
MI does not have several key players in the match. They were hit by a major injury as Star-Pace Deepak Chahar was removed from the Eliminator. Chahar is on the sidelines after suffering a hamstring injury while bowling in the final game.
Chahar came out and Michigan added Richard Gleason to their play. MI also added Johnny Bairstow to play for the Eleven, as Ryan Rickelton left the IPL for national team duties.
