2025 Man TT Island: Saturday Qualifying Cancellation due to poor weather conditions

2 Min Read

This week, organizers of TT’s Island TT race have faced many challenges, and the weather once again cut track action after being cancelled due to worsening Saturday’s qualifying session.

The bad weather prevented the end of the Superbike/Superstock session and then reduced the sidecar to a limited ride to Ramsey before being led over the mountains by moving Marshall due to low visibility/low fog.

The statement reads: “Due to the deterioration of weather conditions, the course clerk confirmed that the rest of today’s qualifying session has now been cancelled.

Updates regarding tomorrow’s schedule will be issued soon.

Tomorrow is scheduled to be the first race day of the event, with the first X D3O Superbike TT race being held.

But despite challenging conditions, Davy Todd set the fastest lap of the week with his Superstock machine with a furious time of 133.155 mph.

After his teammates, Peter Hickman, a welcome boost to the 8ten racing team, crashed on Friday, causing multiple injuries. Hickman is said to be “comfortable” and “energy” at Noble’s hospital.
