Chelsea submits bid to sign a £42 million Serie a Star that he admits could leave
The people of West London are in good spirits after the Conference League victory.
The former Man City starlet was a beacon of light on the otherwise miserable Ipswich side, and after his excellent 2024/2025 campaign, his £30 million release clause always brought club poaching dellup from Portman Road.
Dellup had offers from Man United, Newcastle, Everton and Chelsea, but the latter jumped into pole position after qualifying for the Champions League next season.
Maresca is well-known to the centre forward together at City, and Dellup was an academy teammate with Cole Palmer, so the 22-year-old should already have enough connections at the club and settle in no time.
Delap will be seeking medical care on Monday ahead of the switch proposal to Stamford Bridge, but according to a recent report, he may not be the only new addition in advance.

Chelsea’s pursuit of a double striker contract has been described as highly possible, especially after qualifying for the Champions League, and sales of players could also play a key role.
Chelsea in pole position signs Hugo Ekichike after starting
Despite his £84 million mammoth asking price, Chelsea and Liverpool are interested in Ekitique when they enter the mini transfer window, which is open from June 1st to June 10th, according to CatedOffside.
After starting his speech, Chelsea is currently considered to be in pole position to sign Ekitique before Arne Slot, following an excellent haul of 22 goals and 12 assists by the Frenchman in 48 appearances on 24/25.
He never did that at all with PSG, but the 22-year-old has shown his obvious quality in the Bundesliga, and the people who worked with Ekitique praise him, so he is an option worth considering after delap.
He is called a “surprising” talent called Julien Lawrence, reserve team coach for French football expert Frank Chalencon Ekitice, and shares exactly what Chelsea can expect from him.
“He’s a very smart player and I’ve seen him adapt and understand the expectations of professional football,” Challenkon said.
“His main quality? Goal instinct. It’s very rare for Hugo to play the game without creating a chance on his own. In front of the goal, his ratio is excellent. But he is not only a striker, but he can play on the wing. He’s very technical.
